Default Hot Rod Buildoff- 50's Ford

Humble beginnings. Proline 56 Ford lid. Some Proline 2.2 meats and buggy fronts on some old rims I have.

Still not 100% sold on this lid (why I have not cut it yet).
What I really want to build is a 54 coupe.

But I dunno if I can pull the coupe off...
I would be 100% happy with a F100 half this nice!

Chassis time. Maybe by the time I have that done I will know for sure which body...

Mmm, rims. Can never have enough

Well, don't think stock TLT axle is going to work

So, after some , removed the outer axles and made a hub out of some 3/8" delrin

Narrowed by 1" per side Still need to make the other hub tomorrow...

Just the C clip near the diff. I dunno, I may have to install a set screw collar in there somewhere as well, we'll see.

Thanks guys. Always good to be encouraged!

Default Narrow

Rear end came out perfect width with these tires/rims 7-3/4" overall width

Here is another shot of the hubs mounted on the axles.

Chassis rails tomorrow nite. I could probably cheat and run the rails in the dirt under the rearend. But think I will keep it real and notch over.

Yes, definetely looking dragsterish. Not really what I was going for, but so be it! I just like big rims and low

Got the chassis designed and cut this weekend.

Front end layout. I love delrin

First ever pull of my life. Roof of my Ford in black .040 styrene. Came out ok for first time. Learned a few things.
