Default Retro Scorcher build.

For the last10 or so months, probably, I have been collecting and hoarding parts to build another SRB, this time, for keeps.

Finally I had a moment to start to collate them into something worthy of posting about, even if it's only a start.

What went into this was:

A plastic bucket full of Tamiya F150, that a friend found in his shed, that included new in packet set of gears and shocks
A Superchamp gear case, and new brass final drive gears
A chassis made by Delux (thanks Jeremy )
CRP coil over conversion, screw set and front skid
Pro Star rims and front tyres, Parma rears (see, Thor, put to use )
And various other bits.

I still have more in the pile of stuff to go on, so as they are added, so will the photos here.

I got a bit ahead of myself, and roughed out my Kamtec Class 5 body.

I like where this is going....

Dang that thing is clean! So, is she destined for shelf duty or fun?

Hell yeah, Bud. It's gonna be driven.

I used the Champ gear box, because it allows newer (faster) motors, but I wimped out and put a period plastic endbell RS540S in to, to protect the gears and such.

I'll run it at the next vintage race day held around here, if there is anyone else with the kahuna's to put wear on their SRB

Talon, I actually went with the Class 5 out of preference, but thanks for the heads up.

RCH, that effect might be the post photography tweaking. It was very low light, and I hate flash photography of r/c's (meaning I can't get it right ), so I ran some despeckling and degraining filters over the pics.

Thanks for the kind words from every one.

I've found that a sheet of paper, held at an angle in front of the flash, helps a lot when shooting close-in pics.
