Default some pics of my scorcher..

This is the car that got me back into RC in a big way. I'm a serious VW nut and I've always wanted one of these since I was a kid. Then one day I was looking on e-bay and the rest is history.

This one is extensively modified. It runs a home (well work actually!) made alloy chassis and Kamtec box with direct steering. It also uses a sport-tuned motor and Rough rider rims made by rad22alloys in the UK. The shell is a modified blitzer beetle item with a paint job I did at work while on afternoon shift! (don't tell work!)

The guts of it all...

I've now changed/added a few details. I finally got around to fitting wipers, a new stinger and the painted RR rims.

Oh I want to get mine running so badly now. Thanks a lot for showing off with your runner. Is your motor bone stock?

Also, great photo in your second post, mind me asking about the camera?

Thanks guys. I'm in Australia actually!
The camera is nothing special. Just a 4meg kodak job...

Have a look on Tamiya Club for rad22alloys. Tell him delux sent you! He does some awesome alloy gear!

Great SS delux, and welcome onboard! I'm digging the paint job, very Cal-Look!
Y'know, everytime I see one of these builds, a little of my resolve crumbles away...

The rad 22 alloys are pricy but they are really nice. I have a set of sand scorcher sized ones. eventually I would liek a set of Rough rider sized ones.

Delux, I really like the paint job you did. It's very 70's and reminds me a lot of the sticker set that comes with the Hilux.
