Man that thing is killer. Everything goes together so well and the paint is incredible. I'm with you about not wanting to beat on it. I think I would get another body to beat on and keep that for show.

You have mastered the rover amazingly! If i had the ability, this is what it would look like. Congratulations on leaving my mouth open for the last 10 min! Your real rover looks amazing as well! did you end up having to re-gear the real one?

Thanks! I have only regeared my diffs. Stock Rover gears are 3:54 and I went down to 4:11. It's about back to stock with 33" tires.

I finished up the headlight and tail light lenses. They turned out ok... Not great, but not horrible either. I sprayed some matte clear inside the headlights to kind of fog them a bit.

Here's some pics:

I also installed (temporarily) the RC4WD Scale Lighting Kit. I did not glue into the light buckets yet but did some light spot gluing to keep the wires from flopping around.

I ordered a new kit from Bill at Bill's Custom RC Lighting. The new kit will be powered by a 9v velcroed under the hood of the body and an on/off switch on the roof of the body at the Driver's side window. So the body can be completely removed without having to unplug wires as well as the fact that I will not have to worry about waterproofing. One more thing is that I plan to make a beater body and this will also make swapping bodies much easier too. Besides, I really do not care about turn signals while I'm negotiating rocks on the trail.

Thanks for looking,
-Steven

Made a video today. I clearly have a lot of learning to do about videoing R/Cs. So, forgive me for the amateur first video. I see from reviewing how I need to improve. This video does not do any justice to the terrain I was going over in it.

I did not do a whole lot of editing, just a bit of trimming and some fades. It was composed in iMovie.

I did not suffer any body damage and nothing broke... Double bonus! My sliders and front and rear bumpers got a little abuse though. But hey, that;s why I built them.

Cheers,
-Steven

Hmm. I just tried from a different computer (no Scale4x4 login) and had no problems.

Anyone else having issues?

Video looks good. Nice camera angles and driving(except for when you hit the camera). Plus it was made with a mac so it's good by default.

Still have not finished the clamps for it. I'm getting close though. Still some more stuff on the body that I want to get taken care of first.

Cheers,
-Steven
