Default Traxxas Velineon Brushless in Non-Traxxas Car?

So I got the brushless system for x-mas, but I am thinking that I don't want to put it in my Slash.... various reasons. So I was wondering.... it should fit just about any roller that takers a 540 motor right? Correct me if I am wrong, but if not I am on the search for a cool roller. Thank you in advanced for my noobiness!

What are the reasons for not putting it in the Slash? My girlfriend did, and it works great. She's mad that my VXL Stampede can out run her. heh heh.

It should fit in anything that uses a 540 motor with no problems.

Well two reasons, I want to keep it as water proof as possible and the VXL is only resistent as far as I have read. Also I just really love car projects...lol building is sometimes more fun than driving it seems.
