JR-RC was non responsive so I had the bank reverse the charge.

Banzai has been good except for one part that wasn't in stock. They are slow to get the stuff out the door but respond to emails and seem to care about the customers.

Kyosho has been fantastic, more expensive than Banzai, but super fast.

I've delt with RPP on a lot of my airplane stuff and they are great.

For me its gonna be Kyosho or Banzai for what's left of my Scorpion parts.

One of the best looking units I've seen yet. You really dressed up the yellow super nice. Hell, I bought the red tub and wing for mine but yours is the cats azz.

Got my grubby paw prints all over it, but it's almost done. Just need the big K to cut loose the axles.

Supra,,... You're Tomahawk'in that thing right. Looks mighty fine!

Suprachrgd82 10-11-2014 11:04 PM

Here's she is, almost done. I'm shooting for the general look of my favorite Kyosho, the Chevy 4x4, with the tall narrow tires and decal pattern. Not sure yet how to mount the body.

THE SCW-004 Servo Saver Mount has finally arrived after a 30 day wait.
I like the earth-tone "rootbeer" color. Your truck is coming out nice. I also like the Kyosho sticker in the back window as well. I have a CRP decal I would like to put in the same spot on my truck. A homemade 4mm thread front body post is going to be a challenge to make out of aluminum. On my turbo scorpion I just bent a stock scorpion roll bar back straight in a vise. That could be an option for the rear mount. Some longer bolts, a couple of spacers, and drill 4 body clip holes.

countersunk hardware, but no countersunk mounting holes... for $53.00.

It came with button head hardware so it is from a new batch. The one I bought ended-up on a Tomahawk build on Time Tunnel. :rage:

Not quite sure where these option parts are going just yet, but I do have some Tomahawk parts myself ya know...

Kyosho 2014 Scorpion/Beetle Option Parts

The drive shaft and led issue is making me nutz. I like to collect all the parts and build once.

Arcocustom 10-17-2014 01:49 AM

Well I think they are coming but have not arrived just yet.

Here they all are on display...

... and here are some new parts that make the Beetle unique.

Here is a build that consists of every Scorpion Option part and a few new options borrowed from the Beetle.

Love the wheels on the beetle. I hope they have them in chrome so they can be shelf attire for my scorpion,,... And my Beetle.

I know the parts are coming. I'm just getting impatient.

That Beetle bumper looks awesome!

I will just order mine from Banzai if they have it. It will need some upgrades and they have the best prices. I like RCPlanet too because they have ThunderPower batteries and that's my brand.

Noticed a few more things about this particular buggy. In addition to the optional Beetle front bumper, it also appears to have the the Gunmetal Anodizing treatment on the suspension arms.

The LED's are installed in the light buckets.

It also appears to be running the SCW012 universals.
