Yes, but that's not gonna leap-frog these into the required desirability- I can only do parts for the threads that get a lot more response, which stinks since I want a pair for mine too! Chris REC

Thank you for the kind words. Just waiting on a set of alloy Tomahawk rims from ParguStore, and I think it'll be done.

Unless some other great mods are released, although my 7yr old daughter claimed this car. Modifications must be cleared through her.

I really don't understand the lack of interest in the Scorpion from the vintage RC community. After having this and a few SRB's, I've found the Scorpion to be exquisitely simple, very tunable, and a lot of fun (for a 2wd).

Hope to focus on getting the Sidewinder clone completed next.

It was not until after that last pic with the lights that I realized I forgot to order the LED Kit. Kyosho shorted me on my latest order so maybe I can remember to get them on order when I talk to them about their mistake on Monday.

Have not shared my build yet. This is it is here. Nothing fancy. LRP speedo and Mabuchi motor.

Very nice Acro.

For the wheel nuts, should I use serrated, nylock, or non-locking?

Flanged or Standard?

All these are prime examples of what a scorpion can be...they are simple but elegant in their own way. Honestly this thread is the only reason I intend to buy one....I didn't know they were re-released and then I saw the thread and said, ok I have to have one lol but alas I must wait until after the start of the new year....its ok though, I like the anticipation. :beer&buddy:

Thanks Acro, I was looking at the PDF and I thought they had included some cheap nylon nuts. LOL

Maybe I will look for some in another color or plain old steel.

Jeez. This is my first car since '07. I don't understand all the new gigahertz radio and LiPo batteries, and can barely figure out how to charge my old NiMH's.

It must be a helluva culture shock for you with 2 decades of new stuff.

Although, with the re-releases, it is great to get some grubby hands on the stuff we grew up with.

I'm looking forward to seeing your build. Haven't been this enthused about RC's since the HiLift Hilux came out.

Suprachrgd82 12-01-2014 08:31 PM

Of course they released the star wheels 3 days after I order these.....
