does anyone know of a good video editing program that doesn't cost over $70? I would get the Ulead VideoStudio, but that's about $100! I just want something that can put a content protected music file into a video! I tried to use some of the songs I had ripped from CDs, but it kicks those out also. maybe if I burnt a CD with the music files I wanted, then plopped it into my CD drive and copied it off of that CD... or I could plop Time Machine disk 2 into my CD drive and see if it kicks that out
check http://www.downloads.com ...they usually dont have free stuff, but they have trials...

adobe premier pro or premier 6.5 are the programs for all your editing needs. it is maybe a little over the top for rc car vids but its a top notch program. DL a copy somewhere. then crack it if you have to. easy.

uh, its probably not the best idea to tell people to pirate software in a forum, plus advertising that you yourself most likely did.

I use Adobe Premier 2.0, but that is a professional editing software. As far as your protected music goes, the only way around it is to burn it to a music CD (so it is playable in a regular CD player, not an MP3 CD player) in the regular CD audio format (again not MP3 or m4a, etc) then convert this new CD back to mp3 on your computer. Protection gone. You will have to find something to do the convert and burn to CD though, I use an older version of Nero to do this.

thats exactly what I have an have had no issues with music. some of the videos I've done have been on WMM (service pack 2, XP) while others I've done on my Mac laptop using iMovie, also no issues.

iMovie for Mac's and more higher end stuff. Look on the box for authoring in QuickTime and you are set.

I had that problem with windows movie maker, allthough Dan solved it for me
But i had a huge failure of the program ( nothing to do with dans solving) so i had to use a movie maker the missus had downloaded (nero) and i have to say, once you get the hang of it, its a hell of a lot quicker than windows.
Before i was doing a vid in say an hour, now i can knock one up in 10 minutes
