Ok another update-got paint on the chassis and suspension, sprayed the body and interior. Did an old school copper gas tank. Wheels are painted-need to finish the interior, get hubcaps on the rear wheels-install electronics, lots more little details to go-top, etc...

your gas tank is really shiny very beautiful

edit: but...ist it copper? did you make it from scratch?

Thank you-yes it is made from sections of copper pipe and then polished.

I used regular solder/butane torch I had from the few times I needed to repair some pipes around the house. The tank is made from a center section of pipe and two caps. The seams between the center section and the caps are covered by the silver straps, which are stainless steel wire ties. All bought at the local home depot. The hardware store and the craft/fabric stores can be your friend for detail parts on the cheap.

That is turning out way cool. But... I think you might be a bit limited on cargo capacity with that pickup bed. There seems to be an engine where the stuff would usually go.
