Played around with the Mini & got it running! The batteries are so old I charged 2 of them & got about 30 seconds from the first & about an 8 second tire spin from the second...

The tires are so shot they are totally out of balance that the rims hit when tires rotate. I decided to bid on a Kyosho chassis for the suspension & wheels/tires. Got it for $10.50 & free shipping!

I am going to mess around with it to see if I can get the steering to work a bit better, or should I say work at all!?

The new tires & rims look pretty cool too...

Direct steering would work alot better - you'd only need to mount a servo so the output is near the centre of those steering rods and mount them directly to a servo horn/saver(even if thats means having to use unequal length steering rods would probably still be superior to the sloppy single 90 degree bellcrank arangement).

or at least - I did this mod on a Tamiya king blackfoot and a Tamiya Fighter Buggy RX and it was a vast improvement...

Thanks for the idea! The way it is set up now the Mini turns left, barely & right not at all... Not sure why yet, gotta dig into it. Really isn't that much fun going in a straight line!!

I think I should be able to mod something with what I have laying around....

Yea I thought so!

The owner wouldn't give me a price after I asked numerous times so I realized that he prob didn't know what they were worth. Gave him the offer, he took it - said he had gotten a bunch of offers, nothing over $70... I didn't wanna scare him off. I am happy!
