Here Here Jay, was a great day.
I know the three of us enjoyed it loads. Ellie was dead chuffed with her trophy and still won't let Joseph forget that she beat him. lol

I'll make sure they both remind someone else that they beat him too when we do it again.

It cerainly was a steep learning curve, having only had a few rocks and bits in the garden to play on, and especially as I'm used to doing things like that in a 1:1 4X4 rather than in miniature but I must say rigging a 1/10th scale winch pull is a helluva lot easier.

I reckon pairing up next time would be a good idea and could lead to some really challenging sections especially if we made sure at least one of the cars in each pair had a winch. ( get yer thinking cap on dready)

btw, anyone wanna tell me what the best solder is for working with brass please? atm all i have is normal flux cored electrical stuff which seems to have done the trick on my ground anchor but I'm getting a hankering to try something a little more complicated ( but not generating my own gravitational field) and don't want it to fall apart straight away.

cheers

I like the idea of the pairs, you could get some interesting winch pulls going

Was also thinking of some kind of punch event, that could also be done as pairs then you could make some of the punches really hard to get to unless you both work together.

Plumbers solder is harder, or going up you could look at silver solder, the silver solder you'll need a torch for, any cheapy should do.
Anything over very low content silver solder and you'll need a GOOD torch and either propane or map gas.
All of my stuff is brazed and you need to bring the material up to red hot (only just) to do it so you need a good powerful torch.
This is the kind of torch you'd need http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Rothenberger-Q...item2a07d3dfc8
