![]() Damn, that Camaro has to be the coolest R/C I have EVER seen. And I mean EVER.
First of all: Beautiful color. I am a real sucker for charcoal/grayish cars. Second: That hood is incredible. It screams blown 572. How did you do it? I have thought about a cowl hood for my Chevy truck. Third: Wheels and tires. Those fat drag slicks (not the street treads) and the wheels look incredible. Last: Interior. Even the opening hood looks great without any scale motor under it. Only suggestion: You should do some small scoops on the bumper. I saw a twin-turbocharged Mustang on TV and the turbos were right upfront. Maybe I can find a pic of it. I don't have a Pajero, or anything you would want, but do you want to give me the Camaro?? Oh well, worth a shot. PEACE

![]() thanks! as far as the hood it was originally the standard louvered iroc hood but with a little cutting, some sheet styrene and a little putty I was able to make this cowl induction hood. and I'm not too keen on giving it away free but I'll gladly swap it for your truck...hehe

![]() Really? You'd swap it for the Chubby Chevy??
Sorry, I am too attached to the thing to give it away. All the hours I put into it, and money (well not really, cheap project). I have probably spent 30-35 hours on it already. As long as I can keep drooling over the pictures, I'm all good. PEACE

![]() So King, do you have any really nice cars? Yours are ABSOLUTELY some of the finest custom work I've seen in 15+ years of this 'Hobby!" You're a man after my own tastes for sure! :chug: I'm working on a vintage 1/8 Monogram 'Vette (I think it's a '60) and have a long way to go, haven't worked on it for quite a while, but seeing yours makes me want to get going on it again! I can only hope it comes close to yours. It's good to see someone else with the stones to make body mods out of sheet styrene & putty: You must be an old-school static modeler, also. Keep showing your work here to inspire us all! Chris

![]() wow thats nice!!! is it still 4wd? I want badly to do the stingray as well but have yet to get one. they are on ebay all the time so I need to get one. this is actually my 2nd camaro, the first one was a bit more primitive. I used the model cars' chassis and front suspension arms and a set of grasshopper steering spindles for the front and cut out the rear gas tank area so I could use the grasshoppers gearbox. it worked ok but it was much faster since it didn't have the interior in it and I wrecked it pretty bad one day at the local park...lol I also used an old traxxas bullet suspension setup on the monogram 85 corvette and someone liked it so much they payed me almost 4 times what I had in it for it. I have a 1/12 57 chevy that is belt driven with a model car body on it I'll post pics here soon. are those tires the ones from the corvette kit? and thanks for the compliments.

![]() You earned the kudos, man! Hey, here's a tip to keep your painstakingly crafted gems in one piece: DON"T DRIVE 'EM. Get a beater & resist the urge! Treat 'em like full-scale customs: Only take 'em out on the occasional sunny Sunday, and then drive REAL careful. Absolutely post your '57!!! Must see that! As far as the 'Vette, it is no longer 4WD: I had to extend the wheelbase about 2 inches, hence no belt handy to fit. Good eye on the rubber! They are indeed the stock Monogram treads, one of 2 sets that came with the car, and I couldn't believe that they fit the Pegasus wires perfectly-Amazing luck there! I got the car for next to nothing, as it had no chassis and was missing a few of the interior parts, so it was obviously destined to be R/C. All the body chrome & windows were there though, thank God. Too bad ya don't live near Pueblo-It'd be a blast to have someone as like-minded to build & swap with! Keep it up man, Chris
