I can see the big difference here (Slash Vs. TTR)... The fact the Thundertech is 1/10 enginering representation is a bonus, and will atract the scale crowd. The Slash is (going to be) a big, fast & tough basher.

I can see BTMR's point, as when the proto Pro2 was displayed, I liked it. A lot. It looked quality, with the alloy/CF frame, like a TTR Clod frame. Now, from the last lot of photos, it's lost me, unfortunately. From Last year's demo footage (iHobby?) they seemed to move like the real deal, if not a little quick, but it's lost the "special, high quality carftsman" look.

I'll never buy one and I won't shed a tear either... jerk people around long enough and they WILL walk away and not look back.

I think any desire to buy the Pro-2 have been overshadowed by the frequent delays from Thundertech.
Initially, the prototype was the best looking of all of the revisions. They should have released it in that form, and sold the "redesigns" as upgrades. And, now that Traxxas has released a truck based on the Stampede that is more than easy to upgrade, and looks much better than the latest Pro-2, Thundertech is out of the game.
As far as I am concerned, they can stick the Pro-2 just right back …….

Well, that's encouraging. When it hits the shelves (We should start a poll for when that happens with a prize for the closest guess) I'm awaiting the final version with some curiousity as well.
Unfotunately the design changes and constant delays meant my money went elsewhere. But, TTR does produce some good items so I'l be watching, just not buying.

(My guess for relaese is October 2008)
