Good idea-It's either that or mount them to a roof rack--?

Do you or anyone else have a lead to someone who makes very scale looking aluminum/metal housings for lights?

I finally get to see your great showroom on TC! Hey thanks for the suggestion and the thoughtful offer. I am going to try to make some myself before you have to go through the trouble of mailing yours. I think I have a few ideas.

This is what i did.I took wooden doll house bowls from Hobby Lobby, drilled small holes offset for the mounting.I then used Traxxas rod ends for the brackets. .......this seems to work for me and they are real cheap, plus you can paint the outside bucket any color you want

Hey-fyi-I scouted for doll house bowls per your suggestion and came across these in aluminum on eBay. The 3/4" might do the trick. The larger ones could make for some neat hubcaps for another build-

Check the bird feeders at Lowes or Wal-Mart.Ive seen one before that with a little work would make a great roof rack. Its a wire mesh basket type.

Yes-I have seen those, thanks! The last one I used was a cool makeup/organizer basket from the office supply store-I just needed to trim it down. I used it on the van project-I'll prob try to modify one to fit the roof of the Scorcher.

Got out this morning and figured I'd try to fab a light bar. Got some reference from the 1:1 Greasecar VW. I used those aluminum dollhouse bowls for the light housings. It's got one less cross member than the 1:1 but I think it works. Still need to add the lenses and and back portion of each lamp but this gets me closer to finishing the details on the body-
