When the winners of a meet are on negative points then the scale points are not evening the field, they ARE the field.

My vote: build what you want. Put 1.9 wheels on it. Done.

Otherwise, why not go all out and follow the Scale4x4 set of rules. We can spend two hours before every meet with a tape measure, a set of scales and a pair of calipers!
I kinda agree. -41 as the maximum is a bit far.. just my opinion

The only problem with not having scale points is that Joe Bloggs can turn up with a Comp Crawler with 1.9's and lets face it a 4.75 Inches 1.9 Tyre now.

And walk it.
And if we have no rules to level the board then thats what will happen.

Where's the fun in that?

I'd have no problem with that. But i suspect I'd be the only one.

The main problem is that it is totally lopsided. Even if it is the same for everyone the scale points are way too valuable. They make more difference to the score than the handicap of having the hard body/bumpers/lights/whatever affects performance.

A maximum figure is not a bad idea. Or just half the value of every item.

Is should be more balanced.

Strangely I'd Agree with you on losing them completely.

so what about the people who turn up to have FUN and then are subjected to a point evaluation before they can turn a wheel in anger?

I thought the whole idea behind LSTR is to have fun, meet new people, take the **** out of Jay, leave friends and go home????

or was I lied to?

So then do we go back to basics?
I see where your coming from and i'm not just saying that Because Wingnut beat me again.

How about this and feel free to argue the toss.

March's GTG/Comp will be run using the same Formula of Tennis Balls and Points Scoring.

Scale Points are out of the window But...

1.9's or Smaller Wheels anything else float your boat.

And we'll see what happens and go from there?

Why don't those who want to compete in a comp go first through the gates then those who are setting up the truck/ doing it for fun go last and learn from those before? that way those chasing point can still do so and those in for the craic still have fun?
this way you please two masters (and we can still all laugh at Jay okay and me with my hideosly long thing ooh er)
