I just got a message from jason at jrrc saying that my mount shipped separately with no eta.

I was just curious that if perhaps you had a similar experience with your order from jason being short an item, or perhaps containing the wrong item?

I really do like your buggy, especially that servo saver mount. How are those Red trailing arms? I almost bid on those things too but decided that I wanted to "theme" my car in a different color.

Looking good,

You're lucky you got a response from Jason. I'm awaiting the rear HG tower, mini bumper, and axles from my order about a month ago. No response to my 3 e-mails regarding shipment.

The guys on TamiyaClub say he's becoming inaccurate with oders.

Those are the red D-Hawk arms that were on ebay. They are bulky and travel is limited with the alloy rear mounts. It'll be a shelf queen, so I'm not too concerned.

I did have almost enough parts left to build another car, so it only took a few ebay orders to make an additional kit. My daughter has claimed the spare car.

Nice. I guess RPP had some kits parted out on there. I got my kit from Cory at RPP and got a free shipping, a free battery, and 20 dollars off. I hava a ton of leftovers from mine too. I am just piling them up. The KYOSHO #30614B will be the next purchase for me. As for the Option Part...

This part was sent separately Thanks

was not very reassuring. It was however better than Banzai, who shipped about two weeks late and only had 1 out of the five items I had ordered. I got 2 out of the 3 from jason and a vague message with no details.

How are you going to mount your Cox Sidewinder bodyshell? For some reason (electronics tray) I thought it it was going to be a tomahawk...

The Beetle has been announced and a Tomahawk and Optima (if I don't have the models confused) too.

RPP did part a few; I do have a handfull of the parts from those kits to build Scorp2.

Not sure how the Sidewinder body will be mounted, but it likely involve some HPI body posts.

Beetle is confirmed. Tomahawk and Optima are speculation.

Yeah the Beetle kit is listed by Kyosho as ITEM #30614B. Tower Hobbies has a page up already.

$234.99

Stock Status
(Estimated)
Mid Oct

The Tomahawk and Optima especially are just people talking.

http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...&I=LXEVPL&P=ML

This site has some very neat information and builds going on.

Just got my Banzai stuff... what a mess. I ended-up with an item I did not order and 4 out of the 5 that I did...

SCW010 - CNC Front Caster Lock Set (2pcs/Scorpion 2014)
SCW016 - HG Wing Stay Set (Scorpion 2014)
SCW015 - Light Bucket Compatible Roll Cage Set (Scorpion 2014)
SCW017 - Light Bucket Set (2pcs/Scorpion 2014)

I got the HG Wing Stay for the plastic mount that the wing bolts to. It looks nearly the same as the Assault/Turbo Scorpion except that it is 4mm narrower where it bolts to the aluminum standoff and it uses bolts with a captured nut to secure the wing to the mount. I went ahead and used a nylon washer on each side and swapped-out the new part for my homemade part.

I also have an HG part that I do not need that was somehow substituted with my order. I think I got overcharged too but it is in (6,820.00) Yen charged & (5,460.00) Yen worth of parts sent... smh

I been kicking the idea around of using one of those to mount the Sidewinder body. One o' them all flattened out would be a great mount. Curently torn between the wing mount or this:

I would keep the OG Tomahawk Heat sync intact and use something or some other method IMHO. You could use tall spacers underneath the roll bar with longer bolts and the clip from the plastic roll cage. I could give you an overall height for that if you need it. The HG wing mount provides a new cover for the top of the transmission but the "stanchion" is made of is very flexible plastic. The wing mount is also made to pivot. Not sure if it would be solid enough to mount the body to the stanchion, But the NEW trans cover may be a starting point for a solid body mount...

After some thought, the new Beetle body mounts could be an option. Perhaps the REAR plastic Beetle body mounts clamped to your stock scorpion aluminum roll bar??

You would just need a longer bolt and a spacer for the stock aluminum post that the 2014 Beetle uses.

Nice paint job on the second one there. The Yellow tub cries-out for a color other than yellow. Black is good and I like the Silver on there too. Simple but racy. The helmet/head is a good place for some details too. I put a visor and stripes on mine...

... I almost have enough stuff to build another car too and I have a pile of option parts now as well. Actually, I kinda over bought some stuff and have multiples of option parts I don't even need. oh well

has 79 items in stock now for the 2014 scorpion. Talked to the distributer on the phone a couple of days ago and he stated that he is having trouble getting some of the option parts in-stock. In particular are the led lights, moulded carbon fiber chassis pieces, and the universal driveshafts. He has them ordered but has no idea on their availability or an ETA.

I actually bought a few things from Jason's store jr-rc on ebay and he only shipped TWO of them. The SCW004 Kyosho Scorpion 2014 Carbon Servo Saver Mount is the part that has me stumped here. Saw it. Bought it. Was not delivered. Now Jason will not answer my messages either. I got to searching and there are none to be found anywhere else either. During my search I noticed that there may be a flaw with the part...???

...this is the photo of the item that was purchased.

countersunk hardware, but no countersunk mounting holes... for $53.00. ... and it did not ship. I did not get a refund either. I am not getting any answers as well... lovely.
I think I found that part... http://www.time-tunnel.jp/02/article..._custom09.html

The translation is horrible. I think he is saying that he went through hell to get the SCW004 because its release has been delayed.

Got a response from JR-RC stating that the axles are still not released. They accepted my order on 10SEP14 and marked it as "shipped" shortly thereafter. Obviously, nothing was shipped.

I requested a refund and ordered all but the axles from Kyosho America. Looks like I'll wait for them to stock the axles, too.

@Suprachrgd82
I spoke with Kyosho America and he said he has 100+ on order but no eta. Everything but the SCW001 chassis rails have been and are available through Kyosho America though. Not sure why the US distributor did not get the chassis rails?? From what I have been able to gather, the SCW008 & SCW005 release's were delayed. There must have been a problem with the SCW012 & SCW018 as well.

Why are there countersunk holes in this part?

This plate should have been made out of the hard aluminum.
All the countersunk holes this close to it's edge have to be real close to causing the plate to break.
The molded lip at the rear of it has to be a weak spot too. First good hit and *snap*!

http://www.time-tunnel.jp/02/article..._custom02.html

There seems to be something weird going on with the length of the universal axles as well.

http://www.kyosho.com/jpn/support/in..._2014_spop.pdf

http://www.kyoshoamerica.com/search....y=12&search=GO

This is the THIRD TIME jr-rc has told me that he has shipped the SCW004 option part. I am pretty sure there will be nothing in the mail from jr-rc ever again. Now I have to go and file for a refund from Banzai as well for an SCW009 part that was ordered and never arrived. PITA Banzai was more up front about communicating, but their ordering process and their in-stock status for parts is a complete mess as well. At this point I am saving my pennies for a Beetle kit. Hopefully those are on their way but I dunno....

I bought my Scorpion Kit from Rpp and the plan is to get a Beetle from him also. Kyosho America has been hassle-free and prompt with the 3 orders that I've made so far too. They have earned my repeat business in the future.
