Never thought about Duratrax. I forgot they had new paints out. Looking at the radio box makes me wanna say its not really a "bright red" but more of a cherry red. Kinda like the Duratrax.

The Tamiya Spray should get darker the more coats that you put on there but I kinda like the Duratrax color a bit myself.

So, I had drawn & toolpathed some 7075 Scorpion frame rails that are drilled & I-beamed, so they're much stronger than stock but lighter also: The bend area is left alone & CNC'd, not bent, since that's the stress point. But I had decided against 'em as parts for this car sadly seemed not very wanted originally. Price would be about the same as Kyosho's, 79-85 bucks the pair. Shpould this be re-evaluated as a possible offering? Do speak up if so, I'm planning my next item now.....

And Thanks for all the info on parts/paint/weight & such Arco, SUPER helpful Mate! Chris REC

Default Drilled 7075 Scorpion I-beam frame rails

@toyranosaur

I always really liked the idea and would sign up for a set. Looking at your drawing though, I kinda worry that the cross-drilled sections will interfere with the front and rear suspension mount areas because they are not included in your drawing. These buggies are moderately popular and if you get your idea mapped-out and machined like we all know you can, there should be more than a few people who would like to buy them from you. - Arco

Everything is in stock at Kyosho America now. Just checked Banzai and the SCW012 was Out-of-stock.

20 per set, good for you! I have a set plus the LED set coming and a metal rear cage coming from Korea so I'm all set on car parts now.

Hey Guys, if Banzai still has them they are selling the red shock set for about 50 balloons.

Arco, the rear throgh holes for the suspension mounts are in-betweem the holes, and will either not show or barely show. The fronts will be visible through the crossholes a bit. These are iffy, as the material is not dirt cheap & the machine ops are considerable whilst the want still seems.....wanting. Chris REC

Never mind about PS-34 being the correct match for the red radio box. The photo I posted from another thread had a yellow tub and body both painted with PS-34.

So I guess Duratrax Racing Red is still the best guess at this point.

Could you leave a few holes out to make plenty of room for the cross mounts?
