Cool Lstr Legal Please Discuss

Right Discussion Time

I'm going to be Building a New 1.9 Comper and before I waste all my time and plenty of Cash I thought i'd throw this open to diplomatic discussion.

Here's My Specs

Scx10 Chassis Rails Going over the Axles
Rc4wd Ultimate Yota Axles
Rc4wd Mickey Thompson Baja Claws
CAC 1.9 Wheels
Axial Tranny

Various Electronics not Important
Full Interior with Driver
Lights
Scale Bits
Bumpers and Sliders

So under the Current LSTR Rules I would Score -23

Driver and Interior -5
Scale bits -1 (Maximum of -5)
Working Lights Front and Rear -3 Per Set
Scale Fabricated Bumpers Front and Rear and rock sliders -4 Per (2 sliders count as one item)
Wheels outside the Body +5

But if the Panels we're made of Styrene/Steel would I be elligible for Hardbody Points?

If not They'll be stupidly thin ali. or not at all

Any other concerns before I spark up the Torch????

It has front and rear bumpers and the sliders incorporate the boat sided lower panels.

But if i cant get something for hard Panels then why bother?

But would that Full body be eligible for the -10 points for having a hardbody?

how about -5 as it is full round the cage, but not full as in not over the wheels ? will see what poeple say as i may bring the losi out of retirement as a 1.9 comp scaler crawler
i think we need to sort something what with the new axial comp crawler i'd say has to run 1.9s

Can't really count that those bumpers, sliders I'd go for.
Also no hard body as it's just panels. you'll get + points for both sets of wheels outside the body as well.
Doesn't look like the back overhangs the rear axle either.

My opinion is... these points are becoming WAAAAAAY too important.

When the winners of a meet are on negative points then the scale points are not evening the field, they ARE the field.

My vote: build what you want. Put 1.9 wheels on it. Done.

Otherwise, why not go all out and follow the Scale4x4 set of rules. We can spend two hours before every meet with a tape measure, a set of scales and a pair of calipers!
