What do you expect, this town operates on a shoe-string budget. (Usually they make tow straps with them.)

I haven't found a sound thing that i'm sure is close enough to a Federal Signal 'PA20A' yet.
I need to listen to more clips, but so far i like https://www.modeltrainsoftware.com/p...-siren-diecast

It was a popular tv show, it's on youtube, at some point i'm sure there will be Rivet-Counters who will try to call me on it being wrong. If it wasn't the hero car, there'd be more room to change it up.

What else might an early '70s police car pull over?

What, where'd that come from?

I dunno where it came from but going by the second pic, i'm guessing it wasn't a high speed persuit

Still a pretty high speed chase for a VHS Cassette Tape Rewinder...

The 1957 Chevy Shoebox body was licensed by chevy. I got it chopped down, and melted the greenhouse to the lower. Will need some filler, and a chassis...

It's 2018, it felt pretty weird looking in a used stuff store and deciding more than anything else he had, that i needed a VHS cassette rewinder. Guy even asked me if i knew what it was. Might have to go get his 60s Corvette one also.

Cool idea, can't recall ever seeing a chevy one over here, usually Porsche or some such. What's the plan for this one other than the chop?

Not too sure on actual plans, it just looked too sad sitting in a box of electronics junk under a table. Wondering if it might be able to fit some other chassis, or a trailer load, somebody at a meet might need it more than me? Wheelbase is about right to fit on my VW truck chassis if i pull the vw bumpers and figure out adapters.

Although i wouldn't mind finding a Cox 'Action Van' which was an alternate body for the Adam 12 chassis.

Man, that brings back some memories. I remember the "snap-start" .049 was a pain in the butt to start (for an 8 year old) and left a trail of castor oil wherever it went. Made things interesting with the figure-8 cam since it was running thru its own oil most of the time.

I watched Adam-12 back then, too. Hey, there were only 3 channels to choose from.

My dad said once it started it was mostly spinning the tires the whole time.

Which of the cars did you have?

I'm not far into the series, but i like Adam 12 more than a lot of the shows coming out now.

I had the Adam-12 Matador like you're building. It was a noisy, smelly, awesome little thing.

Fuel up at beginning of shift

Slow shift turns into a rainy night...

Uh Control, 1-Adam-12. We're unavailable at this time, working a scene.

Any chance you still have it busted?

That Nanook slingshot looks wild! Other than the headlights, turnsignals, bumpers, mufflers, wheel coverings, front brakes... it looks street legal enough.

Check out the rollers, strobes, and speakers on the black&white that stopped him!

Thought you'd get a kick out of it. Was it the same make/model or can't tell from that pic?

Ithink that was one of the Plymouths they ran for most of the show, but i'm not up on 1970s mopars.

Hey, i need some quick opinions. On the VHS-rewinder body, keep it the classic Shoebox 2-door 1957 Chevy everybody already knows and loves, or go coach-build professional car in a National Body Manufacturing Company kinda way?

https://jalopnik.com/1957-chevrolet-...35-000-5209282
https://hearseforsale.org/chevrolet/...ulance-hearse/

I like the look of them as a Landau style hearse. Maybe paint up a goth girl driving it, or to lean on the fender. Maybe some hotrod or lowrider touches have been added since it's been retired out of service...
Or is that too weird, and i should not have set this on top of the boxed (out-of-scale) Ecto-1?

I say go the Goth.. But I like that sorta thing. Does it sound strange that I like the looks of this body type

But with the less bling look of the second

Maybe rust it up a bit and take it in this direction

...a rolling project with some wheels and bodywork to be finished "next weekend" hot rod in the making vibe??

A couple years ago I swapped my Fargo's engine into a 63 Chrysler hearse for a guy. Was a very sweet ride but a royal pain to do the engine job.

Hey can somebody talk me down from a bad idea?

"Bro, i'll hold your beer. Do it! You got this!!!"

That 63 chrysler isn't exactly a sexy body, but looks like a fun car. Does the back bench fold into a bier table, or did he swap that in?

Thinking about 2.5" stretch to add back door, roofs going to be flat/satin for vinyl, landau style with some full-view kinda windows next to the load door. Probably some torque-thrust wheels if i can find a 1/16 f&f charger for donor chassis.

The girls take it out for 1 last party.
