One BEC, even cheap as I wouldn't like you to be caste in the same light as people who spend money on their trucks

I dont run Lipo's not as rich as You Rikk

and turnigy are on a Par with Neto's when it comes to electronics.

I'm sure it'd work fine with the cheapo packs you run Neil.

afaik it's the current that's the issue, not voltage ( seeing as it's rated up to 26V) so nicad/nimh packs shouldn't be a prob'.

But that will supply 5volts which is one less than its getting at the moment.
How would that help?

Oh yea and as Gizwaz says, as long as the voltage is enough to drive it, it's all down to the current and nimh's are more than good enough to do that.

There all switchable, 5v or 6v or the CC on goes to whatever you want in 0.1v inc's as you can program it.

Ooh denty, do you know of any cheapy ESC's that have a drag brake? just need something to pop in this TL01 when I make it into a little scaler
