So, there has been some confusion lately due to some incorrect info posted by a well-meaning chap, so to clrear things up here is the Official REC Clod Wheel Update:

-The Gold wheel centers that ended up Orange are to be stripped, re-ano'd the correct color, and re-machined: This will fix the color issue properly so no more worrying about that: You will get what you ordered and what I envisioned, and I should have made this clear from the time I got the centers back. I apologize for any stress relating to the color issue!

-This will take some time, but not much in the big picture. Estimates are that wheels should be shipping around end April/early May. Virus stuff could make an impact but as of now all seems clear for near future.

-I will send Balance Dues out around April 20th. Wait for those please!

-There will be 2 styles of nuts for these, 1 free set for each set of 4 wheels. Email me at [email protected] with your choices. If you want extras, they will be $27.99 per set, just let me know & I'll add it to your total. The choices are: 'Hex' or 'Cylinder'- Pics below. Use only these names. Anyone who does not spec will get 'Hex' nuts.

So, here is the takeaway:
- Email me with your choices of nuts for wheels, plus any extras wanted, etc. BY APRIL 20th!

-Any address changes, Paypal Email changes, or other info, include all that OR tell me there is NO CHANGE- It's your fault if these get sent into the Universe, and over 2 years this could have changed.

I get a LOT of Reply 'messages' to requests like this that are like "Round please." Well Excuse Me that I intruded on your day! Compose a proper response please. Such a 2-word response tells me nothing, as that is not a nut name: Nor any address info. If you don't take a minute to make sure I have ALL your info, you risk getting the wrong thing/too few/etc. and maybe nothing at all: So in the 18 hours a day you're hunched over your phone, take the time if these are important to ya.

Chat soon, Chris REC

Isn't that actually a Sharp Six-sided Circle and a Vanilla Circle?

It is actually an inverse tesseract that has been subjected to Higgs bosons (Boy are THOSE pricey, not to mention easy to lose) using a homemade cyclotron built from a microwave oven, computer fan and reflective dryer tubing. And you guys get 'em FREE! Damn, America is great. Chris REC

Chris, are the hex nuts the same size as the ones you included in your super scale wheels?

Now, think about that fer a sec. I hadda look twice to make sure it was you mate!

They are about 1/2"-12.5 mm. at the widest point. I get the idear you're looking at maybe seeing if they'll fit another project of your'n, or if they'll fit your 1/10 cars (As I recall, you wanted some of those SS 'plain' nuts for your existing cars.) If it is the latter, while I'm making nuts MAYBE we could swing somethin'. You know you're 'In', so feel free to contact me my friend. Chris REC

MMkay Gents, here is the status of the wheels as of today:

Beadlock plastic rings are going through final ops and will be done by the 28th. Then prep the centers for Gold, which only involves a few thou skim cut so those 220 or so should shippable to the anodizer by June 4th. His lead time is all up to him plus transit time, but I will estimate 6 days transit there & back and a lead time of 10 days, plus shipment of a sample part, so a week there, business days...Say back to me by the 3rd week June. I must ship these as my local guy does not offer an RC Gold (Or I'd have used that to begin with,) so I am ordering the dye I want and having it shipped to the ano guy, and the sample part does add a week but will guarantee no surprises.

While those being done I can finish everything else, so say 1st week July I can finish-machine these new centers, putting a ship date at July 7th. Realize this is my best estimate as when things are out of my hands I can't control that, but it seems reasonable right now. I shall post as each step gets done.

Chat soon all, Chris REC

Also, I will send Bal. Dues within 1 week (By the 26th.) I have not done so sooner as I like to be right close to being done before I do- You've all had $50 with me forever, but not $270 or I would not have survived this long. So as things rook longer and longer, so did they.

And Lastly, if you have NOT chosen your nut types or Emailed me [email protected] to tell me that info AND if there has been any change in Paypal or most importantly your shipping address, PLEASE do that before you forget! I worry about sending these to someone's old address & they just end up gone, and you're out some real money to top it off. Let's avoid that! Cheers, Chris REC
