I'm limited to what i can carry but if you cook me a nice juicy burger and a refreshing cold beverage i'll gladly pay for it.

In fact you could sell the old fishing trawler and get yourself a Burger Van Jay!!

LOL, now that made me laugh 8)

He could tow this

Going back to your other Q dready about keeping it simple, yep I'm game but baring in mind it's meant to be "scale" a crawler chassis or moa is pushing things a little to far I'd of thought?
Sure if peeps want to run a crawler with a lexan jeep body no problem but it's not realistic to be in the scoring at the end?
Bit like chris in the last one, he played and scored but with his 2.2 tyres didn't place at the end.

Me and Jay went over the track today and spent 4 hours doing the first course, some easy, some hard and some you have to just put some thought into.
Back over one evening next week to do the 2nd course then we're all good to go.

Hope your all fettling your trucks ready to kick some butt.

As we've now worked out both the courses thought I'd give a heads up on some bits and general pointers.

This will be a gated course, so the idea is to pass the gates without touching them, touching means ANY part of the vehicle or anything that's attached to the vehicle, so if you've picked up a stick or chunk of mud on the tyres and this hits the gate, it counts.
The course itself will be restricted by obstacles some natural, others tyres or a taped border. The taped border can be touched and pushed, but if you take the pee or the truck goes outside the tape by more the 1/2 the truck you'll get a 5 point penalty.

Once you've passed a gate it's dead so can be touched, run over or whatever you need to help you on the next gate.

Any gaps in the borders can be used and in some cases may help you setting up for the next gate.

When doing the current gate try and look forward to the next one as you may find it easier taking the current gate in a certain way to help you setup for the next one.

Each gate gives a free reverse, once that gate is passed if you've not used it's reverse it dies with the gate and your now onto the next gate and it's free reverse.
Use it well, think before you reverse and use it your best advantage, don't just go back 6 inches if going back 3 feet will allow you a better shot at the gate.
A reverse is only counted if it's POWERED, so if you have an ESC with no drag brake you can make the most of it by rolling back if you can.

A gate hit will cost you 5 points, so if your going to hit it it's better to use a reverse for 1 point and get through the gate.

Winching, knock yourself out. You can use a winch or any recovery equipment that is ON the truck as much as you want. BUT, if the winch rope or anything your using for recovery touches the live gate, you failed the gate.
If the truck roles over and you winch it upright, there's no penalty. If it rolls over and you have to put it back in place yourself that's 5 points, so use those winches.

There will be water and mud but nothing deep 1-2 inches at most so no need to worry about waterproofing.

Loads of pointers there, any questions fire away.

I agree with all of the above apart from one part.

No penalty for winching!
Come on seriously!

The idea with that is to overcome obstacle as you would in real life, so winching is fine but obviously you wouldn't lift it up and put it back on it's wheels in real life.

What would you suggest?

And no, she's to short ;p

Well here's the way i see it.

In my book it should be +5 for Turning it over by hand and +3 for Winching it back.

You should deffinately get a penalty for winching It back on to its wheels.
After all you've screwed up and rolled it.

Fair game on using a winch to help you through a section no penaltys needed there
