i saw that a few days ago, on the news pages over here there's been some debate wether it's real or not

while it looks real, people are asking why she just happened to have a camera on?

hence my question. if i was an insurance agent, the fact he is driving behind the truck and that there really isnt much of a reaction when it does come through the window, would make me question if it wasnt staged. as if he was expecting it to happen, so it wasnt so scary.

if it wasnt for the fact he was watching the flatbed the whole time id say it was staged. He did squeal the tire real quick with the breaks when it hit. Now as far as insurance goes i wouldnt pay him.

Driving with a camera in hand is dangerous and could be used to insurance and police advantage of saying it prevented him from reacting when he saw the board etc.... Point being dont drive and film have a passenger do it or dash mount the cam you idiot.

But it looks like the board was slung up from the road from the truck ahead so its kinda a 50/50 in my head as far as real or not.

Well I just saw this randomly, and even though it is a dead thread, I wanted to tell my story about 2x4s and windshields.
There was actually a bad storm once that ripped part of the roof of our horse barn, and it deposited a 2x4 straight through the windshield of our 1984 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ60, which was parked about 75 yards away. However, the story does not end there. We tried to have the glass replaced, but the guy broke two replacements, so we had to bring it to a guy that knew how to "rope" them into place. The whole process took several months, and costed a bit, but we only paid $550 for the vehicle itself.

I got one and might have some pics to if I can find them.
The story goes as my buddy put several sheets of drywall on his roof rack strapped down. There was a small screw sticking up from the roof rack cross bars. So when he tightened the load down it cracked the drywall. Fast forward to him on the freeway, said he hears a loud snap and the corner came off the drywall. This flew through a s10 window and only stopped because it hit the steering wheel. It was crazy. The guy with the s10 was shaken but surprisingly was not mad. My buddy will not strap stuff to the roof now and this was 8 yrs ago. I’ll go look for the pics now.
