Default Cooper's Hawk

Sat morning, I started to step out the garage door to go in for more coffee, and stopped short, turned and ran for the camera.

A Juvenile Cooper's Hawk had downed a small bird, and was looking for it. I guess it was wounded and playing dead, plus the Hawk couldn't see me, but could hear the camera taking pics.. he was being cautious

You can just see it in the lower left hand corner in the grass, barely

Chow time

Damn Jeffro, those pics are amazing. How close do you think you were to it? I'd love to take pics of a Hawk like that but all you'd see right is a white out! LOL!

Thank you. I'm not sure I know what "memes" are. I hear the term used, but have not bothered to read up on it.

Thank you Stray Cat, He\she was not quite 10 ft away from me. I was just inside the doorway, with the zoom lens sticking out.
