Yeah... i already had another set of italeri trailer tires for one more anyway. (Then amazon had bus $30/ free shipping again.)

Either that, or ruin the vintage tin beetle with a ton of brasswork to make the chassis more correct, and rolling on dual gearmotors. (Or there's a forklift, skidsteer, and tractor hanging out slowly accumulating parts)

At this rate im going to need to build a garage. 'Autohaus Bumgardner import sales and service'

Does anybody know much about the various pop-top VW camper conversions? (Might become a fun styrene project for red one)

I've seen Bay busses with:

Windshield to slider, hinge fwd. Westfalia (2a low signal)
Rear to slider, hinge aft. Westfalia (2b high signal)
Rear to slider, scissor up. Riviera, Sportsmobile
Windshield to rear, hinge right
Length of slider, scissor up.

Only have personal experience with the rear to slider scissor up. Pop top. Most common conversion in Oz, just ask the Leyland brothers

This is heavy Doc.
Why didn't i EVER hear about Hitari or Diamond Select making a 1/15 scale rc DMC 1 Delorean "Back To The Future" time-machine with lights & sounds until now? I've already got a line on some great looking Type 2 Bay-window transporters, i could absolutely see it in yellow with a ragtop and driving lights, and a few extra channels for stuff like remote door, RPG guy, lighted barrel-flash...

Oh no, it's the Lybian nationals... run for it Marty!
Let's see you b******s do 90!

Great Scot!!! It's worse than i feared, my memory is colorblind. Lybians had White over Blue 2b, the Yellow one was parked on Martys street.

Also the Diamond Select Delorean is NOT rc. Frizzen has no reading comprehension, and it's been upconverted various ways by several people who didn't properly say that.

That delorean is a lot more detailed than I expected, lots of flashy flashy and the hover mode too. I don't remember seeing one of those but I think I've seen the A team van and I actually have the General.

Watched back to the future the other day, I cringe every time I see a blue and white kombi but I did chuckle and think of your van while the baddies were peppering doc in the drive by.

I actually remember looking at and picking up a couple of the time machine boxes, they had a couple versions in the store. "But why 1/15? nothing is that scale." And i couldn't decide which version looked better.

I never got that into the Dukes of Hazard. I liked Daisy and her Jeep way better than bo, luke, or the general... i did learn all problems could be solved with: yeehaw, stomp the gas

Picked up some sheets of 'Foam Board' or 'Foam Core' (depending who you talk to) from a dollar store. Then i hit those with some blades, slopped some hot glue around.

This is based loosely on a station in Greensburg, IN. It's not accurately scaled, just inspired.

I have this as a seperate Station and Garage building, garage can be placed on or left off as needed.

Since this is supposed to be about a VW

Thought the interior still wasn't quite right.

That's getting closer.

It took me way too long to realise the bikes weren't just standing up in the background.....

That's looking pretty sharp in there.

(ps. Did my second reply get through to you the other day? I did it with Tapatalk msg and it gave an error but still looked like it sent after all but might not have)

Wow, the bikes do look like i'd left real ones back there. The camera just wouldn't focus well with that many focal plains and odd lighting. It hasnt been quite right since the lens cover popped.

I'm a lot happier with two-tone seats over the brown it came with.

The last reply i got had "wow what's that thing". I could probably see it with a baby trailer like the teardrop, not sure if the real ones could tow.

Cool, it did send properly. Tapatalk does weird things sometimes but I can usually ignore what it says because it worked anyway. All good.

I know brown is common but the tricked up interior looks more "real" if you get me.

I hit up ruralking and happened to run across a "treehouse kids" Canoe and Kayak set with paddles, a guy, some fish, a fishing pole, and net.

I just knocked the mold lettering off, and scuffed the bottoms of the boats (real ones get beached each use). Now i've just got to figure out a way to rack these to the bus.

This is why i kept the roof rack stock, now we've just gotta make something modular.

Kayak may only need a pair of tiedowns to keep it locked in 1 roof section. Canoe needs both roof sections, so probably some plates or something to locate it and hold tiedowns.
