FLM makes traxxas upgrade aluminum chassis that are AWESOME. im sure they have a slash one by now. Ive used them for several stampedes and a rustler and was extremely impressed with the quality and fit.

FLM = Fast Lane Machine

i know theres also a dual deck carbon fiber chassis ive seen in RC Car action that looks real nice for the slash.

I have the Thundertech Outlaw. It really lowers the center of gravity. It's not cheap, but it's durable.

I'm gonna say this I'v ran bolth my slash's for over a year using a ton of RPM chassis components, I had tried aluminum parts which looked cool but weighed down the trucks way too much, I know you'f looked at my build thread on them and you can see what I am running there which I will tell you as of yet it's the best setup I'v tried, I have a bare chassis and the proline kit for the slash comming which I intend to try out as another racer and as soon as I try them I will be sure to let yall know how they compaire

The TTR chassis is pretty good. I have no real complaints, I think it's worth the money.

I'm building a Slash with a lower COG. Due to a lack of funds I think it will be finished in about 2-3 months.

I added 2 holes for the front gear box mounting points (offset 46mm)

Made a shim from the stock rear skid plate transferring the force to the chassis.

chassis put together (besides top plate)

I made an angle to stiffen the rear of the chassis.
On top there will be a plate with a connection to the bottom so the spring force can be countered.

I think I will use this setup. Kyosho ESC front and brake, 19T brushed motor.

"everything" put together.

There will be some custom parts to put the chassis and gear box together, I hope to receive them in about 2 weeks.
