Yep, those are Axial lightbuckets indeed. I got them a while back and still had them lying around waiting for a project. I think they look great.
The tires are Carson, don't think they sell in the States.

Most awesome! I always thought the Wild One was Tamiya's best-looking "realistic" buggies. I've never heard of a Frog gearbox being used on a Wild One. (Of course there's plenty of things I've never heard of. ) Looks like it works perfectly, though. It's stuff like this that makes me want to get back into the hobby when I know I can't.
