Default Dirty Herbie

I think I didn't post here yet that funny car I built some times ago and (as usual) is not completed yet

The name come from a collapse between two film carachters: "Dirty Harry" and "Herbie"...

I put my hands on a tamiya beetle body a started to think what should put under it.
There are a couple of problem on the body: short wheelbase for a TC and the rear is a lot wider than the front.

I decided to mod a TT01laying around

After a lot of work and test that's the result

Basically I reversed the suspension arms Front and rear...
I also removed all the front transmission part, a beetle is RWD!!!!

I replaced the rear axle with blackfoot ones to widen the track.

Some pics:

IT WORKS!!!!!!!

With the reversed front arms the steering is reduced. Some EPA adjustment will solve the issue

Here you are: Dirty Herbie

That was just the begining....

The final paint scheme will be like this one:

http://tamiyaclub.com/showroom_model...87707&id=22164

I added a rear wing and motor...

Front Bumper

And some details added to the motor.

That's all for now

i think this has some serious potential!! a ''different'' approach to an iconic vehicle such as herbie.
