How about a tilt front hood / bonet ?......This is what I'm also doing. To me, The rear of body shell is a bit to wide. So what I'm planing is to suck it in 1/2 inch. I'll be doing this by making a floor pan a little narrower (note second to last Picture.) In doing this....It also gives the rear vent more of a small arch (note last picture.) and also gives the lower body a roundness instead of being so vertical . Again, to me more eye a pleasing then whats going on with it. I'll be trimming out rear license plate area so I can later incorporate a larger single carb air cleaner. Tons to do still and figure out. Come on weekend.................................. Thanks for looking everyone.

It's looking really good. I'm starting to wonder what my box of parts is going to do to make your buggy look any better

Man I'm sorry Ron. I really wanted to send it to your house, but you said the PO Box was fine. It's still better than dropping it off at your house and having it hauled off by someone else.

Well I'm extremely happy with the string method so far. It trimmed around the hinges and corners of the door just marvelous. I have been doubling the string up for longer and stronger runs and long clean slow strokes. One more door to do then I can start reassembling it. Yeaaaa.....The door hinges may be a little tricky but I think I have an Idea on how to do it with some round rod and very small piano wire pins. I'm going to try to sneak some refrigerator strip magnets into the door jam buy the B pillar on body and the door. I'll have to do a mock up to see how well it works first...But I have faith that it will.."Gulp" cross your fingers.

I hope bigger then 4x4 closet....LOL..I've seen how large your builds are. Also what does the poor cleaning lady say when she has to keep dusting every day.......LOL..snort giggle.....Yup aha.

Wow..I sure have a lot of parts. Here is the rear lid and what I did with it. I should have plenty of room for a big air cleaner. I also decided I did like the license plate cover so I re-drilled some holes and attached. I still need to finish opening vents on rear arch and also decided to open up the door handle recess to give it a little more realistic look. Lots to do for details but should help the finished product. Thanks for looking everyone.
